Excellent Experience-Budapest to Amsterdam, January 11, 2016
Reviewer: djett
Pros: Excellent service, amenities and food.
Cons: There was nothing negative regarding our cruise.
Date of cruise: May 1, 2023
Departure port: Budapest
Region visited: Europe
Cabin category: Outside
Cabin number: 3303
Good for children: No
Uniworld is all-inclusive meaning that all shore excursions, food and all beverages (including beer, wine, cocktails, soft drinks, juice any time of day) and gratuities are included. Our cruise did offer some extra shore excursions for which there was a very reasonable charge. The level of service is excellent. Whatever your need, it's taken care of. All of the crew were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. This is a new ship and offers every amenity. There were three washers and dryers on board that are free to use and detergent is provided at no cost. The top deck has sufficient cover so everyone can be in the shade. The food was excellent. Breakfast is a buffet but you are able to order off a menu as well. Lunch is buffet and dinner is off a menu. Dinners usually included some regional specialties. Nightly entertainment included a duo as well as several specialty acts brought on board. We flew into Budapest and were met by a Uniworld representative who took us to the ship. We were immediately offered food and beverages while waiting for our room. We were escorted to our room and everything was explained. When we ended our cruise in Amsterdam, we had to be out of our room by 8:30 a.m. but could remain on the ship and enjoy lunch until the ship sailed at 2:30 p.m. The atmosphere is more of a high-end hotel rather than a cruise ship. The cabin was very roomy with plenty of drawer space, closet space and electrical outlets. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was a choice of pillows. The tv is built into the mirror above a desk which creates more space in the room. There is a floor to ceiling window. The top half of the window electrically lowers so it can be open-air or you can lower a screen to keep the bugs out. Much better than a balcony. The shower is large and contains a rain head shower as well as a hand-held shower head. The only negative is the hand-held should be mounted higher so it can be used instead of the rain head.
