Pacific Princess offers a great small ship experience., July 7, 2013
Reviewer: robertrules
Pros: Only about 600 passengers means easy access, few lines or crowds
Cons: I can honestly say there is nothing that I would criticize.
Date of cruise: June 1, 2023
Departure port: Athens, Greece
Region visited: Mediterranean
Cabin category: Balcony
Cabin number: 7089
As it was my first small ship cruise I was not sure what to expect. It turned out to be one of the very best cruises of the many I have taken. The Pacific Princess is a grand little lady. About ten years old, she show only a little wear. Her decoration and ambiance is classy. Her library, dining room and lounges are second to none! She is small enough to get to know other passengers and staff, yet very stable with little movement. There are few wait lines yet she offers most of the amenities of the large cruise ships. I highly recommend the Pacific Princess!

Great ports, but rundown ship, July 31, 2010
Reviewer: Bdcsulb
Pros: Deck chairs always available, flawless housekeeping & bartending/baristas
Cons: Stuffy, boring cruise director; set seatings & tables were social torture
Date of cruise: July 14, 2023
Departure port: Civitivecchia
Region visited: Mediterranean
Cabin category: Outside
Cabin number: 4011
Good for children: No
Good for teenagers: Yes
A great, quiet environment to enjoy amazing smaller port excursions. The downside with this ship is that the cruise director loudly runs activities you can't escape (bingo happens on top of you on the would-be-tranquil sundeck; golf chipping occurs across the tiny serviceable pool at the prime, hot hour of 3:30 p.m.). Certain amenities are an afterthought for even these few passengers (600). Laundry room was like a geriatric viper pit due to few machines/hours. Service staff, however, are awesome. Fitness center rocks.
