The menu was below par and entertainment, other than the shows, was lacking., July 1, 2010

Pros: The ports of call were interesting and fun.
Cons: Cruise experience
Date of cruise: June 18, 2010
Departure port: Barcelona
Region visited: Mediterranean
Cabin category: Balcony
Cabin number: 10084
Some of the staff at the reception and accounting desk need to adjust their attitudes. There is definitely a negative attitude towards Americans. The ship's passengers are 90 percent Italian and some were outright rude and without manners. The food, as compared to other cruise lines we have sailed(Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian), was terrible. The menu was limited. Never was there offered any lobster or choice beef such as prime rib or filet mignon. The desserts were ordinary. Also, with the exception of breakfast, you pay for everything including coffee, tea, and water. The evening shows were fine but there was a total lack of entertainment after that. The extent of the dancing was line dancing which included children, even after midnight. The only saving grace were the ports of call. We will NEVER sail MSC again. Another couple sailed with us and they too will never sail with MSC again.
