Delightful sleepy town near Kirillov with an impressive monastery and lake, August 14, 2010

Pros: The small wooden houses with no water or gas but beautiful gardens
Cons: The roads and bus
We traveled out of Goritsy to a nearby town called Kirillov to see a monastery where we heard beautiful singing and saw impressive structures. Having more time to roam through the streets of Goritsy would have been nice and to meet the people. We bought a beautfiul waterolor from a family of artists for very little. The lake outside the monastery was open to all who were swimming in it and diving off a homemade board off a tree. It was unseasonably hot here.
