Been on many cruises and this was good for the money. Art seminar was the best, December 25, 2010
Reviewer: wc2305
Pros: The wait staff was great as well as the entertainment.
Cons: No welcome-back party for previous cruisers. Comedy was lacking
Date of cruise: December 16, 2010
Departure port: Jacksonville
Region visited: Bahamas
Cabin category: Outside
Cabin number: E73
Prior to this cruise I was on the Legend in September and it was so much fun and one of the best cruises I've been on. I tried not to compare the two because the Legend is on another level. However, one of the things that keeps me coming back to Carnival is that is it the Fun Ship cruise line. I had a great time. I was really looking forward to the comedy club, but I was a bit disappointed. I know this was a short cruise but I felt slighted that Carnival didn't do something to recognize repeat cruisers. I'll be glad when the day comes where smoking will be prohibited on these ships. Could not enjoy the club and some of the lounges because of the smoke. I really enjoyed the art auctions and learned a lot.

This was a last minute "cheap" cruise and served as a great intro to my family of the benefits of cruising. Earlier cruised were Carnival in 80's and Princess in 90's. In order to keep prices down Carnival has implemented shortcuts but unless you are cruising to eat everything you can manage with the portion control. Entertainment limited to two shows over five nights however it was a great intro for the kids and "low risk" vacation. Happy to report the Teenage Club was great for my 16-year-old son and poolside grill often had better food than the restaurant. No "megapressure" on tips but happy to compensate staff for good service. Enjoy yourself for reasonable price but understand what you are getting for the price.
