Great port to visit, October 25, 2012

Pros: The old city
Cons: Restaurants were somewhat pricey, and no free public restrooms
Did not take an organized tour here, but found it easy to take the city bus to the old city. Once there, found it fascinating to walk around. Lots of photo opportunities, and information around the sites. Can spend the day without spending a lot of money. No problem with English anywhere.

The City Wall is a KILLER in the summer, July 4, 2012
Reviewer: ayanna
Pros: Beautiful
Cons: Hot and a LOT of steps on that City Wall
Although after a few days, we looked back on Dubrovnik with fondness, it was difficult while there. It was over 100 degrees and climbing that City Wall was like walking in an Escher painting. Every time you thought you were done with climbing steps, there were more. It seemed to never end. I never knew you could keep going up and never really seem to get anywhere. Despite this, it was a beautiful town with very nice people. I'd just recommend skipping the wall climb. Stay on the ground!

Wonderful old town easy to explore leisurely in a day, September 12, 2010
Reviewer: Doug62
Pros: Very easy to get around by foot
Cons: Can get too crowded with tourists
Dubrovnik is an interesting town with a great history and well worth exploring. The main old town is small enough that you can explore it in a very leisurely manner during the day, stopping to enjoy some good food by the water or doing some shopping. Take a ferry to one of the neighboring islands if you have time to explore the places around Dubrovnik. The nightlife in Dubrovnik was not all that exciting, but I was out only until 12:30 a.m. so perhaps it gets more lively later on.
