Wonderful experience on a full ship that never felt crowdedfabulous food!, July 5, 2013
Reviewer: rsimenhoff

Pros: All inclusive top liquor and Nobu

Cons: MDR didn't downsize table setting when some parties ate at specialty restaurants

Date of cruise: June 15, 2013

Departure port: Southampton, England

Region visited: Europe

Cabin category: Balcony

Cabin number: 8127

Good for children: No

Good for teenagers: No

Had a wonderful experience in all. Cabin size was very small but rear cabins have larger balconies which made for a bit more room. Love the all inclusive alcohol, gratuities, etc. Would have enjoyed more youthful (i.e. 70's and 80's - current) music in main dance area as there was only one bar for after dinner where we could visit with contemporaries. Starlite Lounge was mostly occupied with an elderly crowd. Also, late seating needed to see show prior to dinner as usually there was no late show. Would enjoy a 10:30 or 11 p.m. show. Had a small magic show which required tickets (free) limiting the number of people which was entertaining. Food was superior to all cruises I've been on. Silk Road (Nobu) was spectacular and maitre d' was tops. Enjoyed outdoor areas as when weather was inclement there was a clear "ceiling" which kept a comfortable temperature. Enjoyed outdoor food options as well. Excursions were excellent although people should pay attention to the activity level. We had one rigorous excursion to St. Paul de Vence and an older couple came and complained about the amount of walking, slowing us down. Crystal did note the activity level so I'm not sure what else they could do! The excursion choices were varied and interesting.

Fantastic food, service, comfort and entertainment., May 17, 2010
Reviewer: cruisefritz

Pros: A real luxury cruise experience

Cons: Standard cabins are a bit small

If you want some of the best that cruising has to offer, it must be on Crystal Cruises. We have sailed on most of the other major cruise lines including small, medium and large ships, but none offer better service, food nor overall quality.
