Pros: Lipari is located in a beautiful bay with great old buildings to explore
Cons: All shops, museums, restaurants are closed on Sunday.
The view from the top of the museum is worth the hike. You'll get great pictures from there. We were able to see two ancient Catholic churches when we were there and the architecture was absolutely beautiful. Some of the churches require a dress code (no shorts and women must cover their heads) but it is worth seeing because you just can't reproduce the patina on this old art work. As everything was closed, we walked the stone-lined alleyways and felt transported to another time.
