Fabulous day jet skiing to Stingray City !, January 1, 2016
Reviewer: Elyse1
Pros: Fast jet ski, friendly tour operator, fun with the stingrays
Cons: Taxi broke down for return trip to town, but quickly replaced.
Used independent tour operator, Discount Excursions.com for the jet ski, Stingray City, starfish beach, snorkel tour. They were very friendly and helpful in every way.

Don't care for this shopping city., August 3, 2012
Reviewer: geeva
Pros: Nothing really except that it is clean, good for snorkeling.
Cons: It is a shopping place.
The fact that George Town don't have a port for cruise ships speaks volumes on how much they want the cruise passengers there. The island can survive without the cruise ships being there. We went to the public beach, did some swimming and snorkeling. Barely did any shopping because of the time limit. I would avoid this place in the future if I can.

A snooze of a port, December 1, 2011
Reviewer: TimCurry
Pros: It's a modern town with lots of high-end shopping
Cons: Unless you are into water sports or buying diamonds, there's not much here
We went to George Town and nearby Seven Mile beach as the first stop of our cruise and I am thankful it was the first stop, since it would have been very anti-climactic to end the cruise here. While there was nothing wrong with George Town, there was nothing exciting about it either. We toured some breweries, shopped a bit, had lunch at a beach-side restaurant, and lounged around for a bit, but all in all, the day was pretty lackluster. I wouldn't avoid Grand Cayman in the future, but I certainly won't actively seek out a cruise that has it on the itinerary.

Only used the public beach; well staffed, had fresh water showers and food, April 14, 2011
Reviewer: rmlemons
Pros: Plenty of taxi/buses to take you anywhere
Cons: No dock so had to tender over to shore which was time consuming
We only dove here, so I can only comment on the public beach and the taxi service. The beach was fine. Had a restaurant and fresh water showers. It certainly wasn't in walking distance from where we put in, so taking a taxi was necessary. Since we were diving, our equipment took up room so they seemed less that thrilled to take us as they like to squeeze every last passenger into the van, even having seats that pulled down into the aisles. They even charged more than any other port.
