Pros: Good place to stay before a cruise; took a limo from Rome airport

I would advise against staying at the Sun Bay Park Hotel. The pictures on the internet are NOTHING like the rooms. Dinner was very expensive and not good at all. Be careful where you stay; I'm sure there are better hotels. We only stayed in Civi because of its location to the port before a Oceania cruise the next day. In the future, I would stay in Rome for the night.

Good port for disembarkation, October 25, 2012

Pros: Free port shuttle, easy walk to train station
Cons: Nothing
Disembarked here and although the cruise line provided a shuttle, there was also one provided by the port itself to the port gate. It is a relatively easy walk (five minutes or so) to the train station going right on Viale Garibaldi, where one can go into Rome or Pisa, or on to other Italian cities.

If you're stopping in this port your best to take a trip in to Rome. Even if you have been there before this port has nothing to offer.
